2026 SAINT ADALBERT CEMETERY FLOWERS AND HOLIDAY DECORATION SCHEDULE
November 1st – March 15th: Winter wreaths and other artificial decorations are permitted.
All decorations, including wooden crosses, should not exceed 36” in height.
March 16th – October 31st: Only fresh flowers in proper bouquet holders are permitted during the cutting season from March 16th to October 31st. Allowable flower vases are available to purchase through the office. Wilted flowers are removed every Tuesday so that we have three days to cut the grass without as many obstacles. Artificial flowers, potted flowers or decorations are not permitted during the cutting season because of the danger to the mowing equipment, but more importantly because of the danger to the workers. There are usually wires or other hard materials with artificial decorations that can cause serious injury. The same is true when a glass jar is used to put flowers on the grave. These will be removed immediately. All decorations that have been removed will be saved for a 30-day period. If your decoration has been removed and you are interested in picking it up, please contact Darlene Heigl at 440-234-6830.
All decorations that have not been claimed after 30 days, will be donated.
Holidays: Live flowers via potted plant, cut bouquet or artificial decorations will be permitted as follows:
Easter- April 5th, 2026: Artificial decorations are permitted beginning the Sunday before Easter (March 29th) and should be removed no later than the second Monday after Easter (April 13th). Clean up by cemetery staff on Tuesday, April 14th.
Mothers’ Day- May 10th, 2026: Artificial decorations are permitted beginning the Thursday immediately before (May 7th) and should be removed no later than the second Monday after Mothers’ Day (May 18th). Clean up by cemetery staff on Tuesday, May 19th.
Memorial Day- May 25th, 2026: Artificial decorations are permitted beginning the Thursday immediately before (May 21st) and should be removed no later than the first Monday after Memorial Day (June 1st). Clean up by cemetery staff on Tuesday, June 2nd.
Fathers’ Day- June 21st, 2026: Artificial decorations are permitted beginning the Thursday immediately before (June 18th) and should be removed no later than the Monday one week after Fathers’ Day (June 29th). Clean up by cemetery staff on Tuesday, June 30th.
Fourth of July, 2026: Artificial decorations are permitted beginning the Sunday before (June 28th) and should be removed no later than the Monday after the Fourth (July 7th). Clean up by cemetery staff on Tuesday, July 8th.
Labor Day- September 7th, 2026: Artificial decorations are permitted beginning the Thursday immediately before (Sept 3rd) and should be removed no later than the Monday after the holiday (September 14th). Clean up by cemetery staff on Tuesday, September 15th.
Complimentary flags will be placed on Veteran’s graves on Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day.
