Father Barry was born in Parma, Ohio and raised in Medina, Ohio. He is a lifetime Clevelander. In 1985 Father Barry Graduated from Medina Senior High. After serving four years in the Air Force as a police officer he returned home and attended the University of Akron as an English major. Father was planning to use his degree to become a High School teacher.
After receiving his calling from the Lord, he entered Borromeo Seminary in 1994 at the age of 26. He graduated in 1995 and entered Saint Mary Seminary in the fall of that year. He was ordained a priest on May 20, 2000 and was assigned to serve as parochial vicar at St Anselm Church in Chesterland, Ohio. In 2005 he began serving as parochial vicar at St. Joseph Church in Strongsville, Ohio.
On September 1, 2008 Father was named the Administrator of St. Adalbert Church. On August 24, 2010, Bishop Lennon named him Pastor of St. Adalbert. Fathers most fulfilling moments within his priesthood are saying Mass for the people pf St. Adalbert. He believes that devotion to the Eucharist is going to revive the Catholic Church.
Father enjoys working with the youth of the Church, and is Spiritual Director for the Northcoast Spirit Teens Encounter Christ Movement. Father's favorite hobbies are playing golf with his father, and watching movies with his mother.
